An aromatherapy facial is similar to a classic facial but includes the use of essential oils in some of the steps, as well as the oils being vaporised in the room. You can choose from 3 different oil blends, depending on what benefits you want to achieve:

A rejuvenating blend of rose geranium and frankinsence – these oils contain antioxidant compounds which make them beneficial to mature skin.
A calming blend of chamomile and lavender – these oils have a soothing, anti-inflammatory effect and lavender also assists skin healing
A refreshing blend of petitgrain and rosemary – mildly astringent and antibacterial, these oils help to leave the skin feeling fresh and revitalised

The aromatherapy facial treatment

Cleansing

The treatment starts with a skin cleanse and tone, using fragrance free products.

Skin warming

Next comes skin warming with hot towels, which improves circulation and enhances the benefits of the face massage that follows.

Massage

Once the skin is nice and warm, you’ll have face, shoulder, head and neck massage using an essential oils blend of your choice.

Oil removal

Any excess oil is removed with warm cloths and toner, to prepare the skin for moisturising.

Moisturise

The treatment finishes with a moisturiser containing your choice of oils.

Oil vaporisation

Aromatherapy science - vaporiser

Your chosen oil blend will also be vaporised in the room to enhance your treatment. Essential oils affect many body systems and inhaling the oils has a positive effect on mood. The skin rejuvenating and calming blends have a relaxing effect on the nervous system, easing stress and anxiety. The refreshing blend is uplifting and can help to improve mental clarity.

I'm so glad to have found  Body Benefits now. Sue is truly a wonderful massage practioneer. She is very skilled at finding problem areas and applying just the right pressure to help. Sue has a lovely relaxing room she uses for her massage and other treatments. Overall Sue's expertise and experience in this area is excellent. She has a calming, kind manner that puts you at ease. Sue is a very skilled and professional masseuse.  I went to her for a specific issue and the treatment was extremely beneficial as well as being one of the most relaxing I have received. Very good value for money, easy parking, lovely treatment room with the warm blanket, and a lovely lady to look after you. What’s not to like! I will definitely return if the need arises.
